Ocean

Ocean ecosystems underpin global economic activity and human well-being, yet they face growing pressures from climate change, resource depletion, and pollution. At the same time, the ocean holds significant potential to drive sustainable economic growth if managed responsibly.
However, fragmented governance, insufficient financing, and the lack of common frameworks for measuring impact have hindered the development of a sustainable ocean economy. SIIF focuses on building the enabling systems needed to address these challenges—mobilising finance, establishing impact measurement frameworks, and fostering cross-sector networks—to support long-term, systemic change in the ocean sector.
